Downtown Carrollton's TEXFest is back for its ninth year of celebrating Texas Independence Day, complete with live tunes, local grub, and craft beer straight from Texas' finest breweries. This free event kicks off on March 2 from 3-9 p.m. in Historic Downtown Carrollton, located at 1106 S. Broadway Street.
The shindig promises a day packed with entertainment for all ages. Attendees can look forward to an array of food options, dozens of craft beer offerings, and local artists belting out Texas music. Plus, TEXFest beer glasses will be on sale, ensuring that of-age patrons can sip their brews in style, according to the City of Carrollton, Texas.
A highlight of the event will be the beer garden, where visitors can enjoy their craft selections under a canopy of starry lights. The area will also feature community seating, a spread of yard games, crafts, Texas trivia, and a chance to indulge in what's been dubbed some of the best barbecues in Texas.
For those feeling daring, there's the chance to mount a mechanical bull and hang on for a wild ride. Amidst the excitement, guests can take a moment to capture the memories at various photo ops, including with a live longhorn or against backdrops like the giant Texas flag photo station or the Texas-shaped statue, according to the City of Carrollton, Texas.
TEXFest has been drawing crowds by the thousands over the past eight years, and it isn't just about the fun and games. There are still chances to grab the spotlight as an event sponsor, with Just 4 Kids Urgent Care and Raising Cane’s already leading the charge.
