Chevrolet has unveiled a significant refresh for its 2025 Equinox SUV, featuring expanded tech offerings and a more robust design approach. As detailed by dBusiness, the refreshed model boasts modern connectivity features, including an 11.3-inch-diagonal infotainment screen, an extensive suite of safety technologies, and an innovative outdoor-inspired trim dubbed "ACTIV."

The Equinox now joins the ranks of quality in the Chevy lineup, with siblings such as the Trax, Trailblazer, Blazer, and the 2024 Traverse all getting similar updates within the past two years. “The 2025 Equinox brings to one of our most important nameplates bodylines and proportions inspired by our brand’s truck DNA, also adopted in the upcoming Traverse,” Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet, told Chevrolet's media newsroom. Powered by a 1.5L turbo engine, the Equinox offers a trailering capacity of up to 1,500 pounds when equipped with the available AWD system, and introduces driver-selectable modes.

The newly designed Equinox is looking to appeal to a wide audience, with different trims such as LT, RS, and ACTIV raising the standard content bar for Chevrolet's vehicles. “This generation of Equinox has taken on a broad-shouldered, athletic appearance that conveys confidence and versatility,” described Phil Zak, executive design director of Global Chevrolet, in an interview obtained by  Chevrolet's media newsroom.

According to Government Fleet, the new models are not only striking in their exterior but also feature tech-focused interior with larger screens and user-friendly interfaces compared to their predecessors.

The ACTIV model stands out with its rugged facade and utility-focused enhancements, such as all-terrain tires and a white roof option for a two-tone aesthetic. Standard across all trims is Chevy Safety Assist, a suite that comprises Automatic Emergency Braking, Forward Collision Alert, and a range of other advanced safety functions to bolster driver and passenger security. Teen Driver technology is also included, allowing parents to monitor and encourage safe driving behaviors through the myChevrolet mobile app.

Enthusiasts of the Chevy brand can expect the release of the updated 2025 Equinox in 2024, with additional specifics, including pricing, to be announced approaching the production launch. The comprehensive upgrades signal Chevrolet's commitment to innovation within the crossover and SUV segments, where competition is notably fierce, but the potential for customer loyalty remains high.
