West Roxbury community concerns over a local convenience store led to a significant drug bust Friday, after local law enforcement took action. The Boston Police Department reported that their Area E-5 Drug Control Unit executed several search warrants at Familia Grocery on Grove Street, resulting in one arrest and the confiscation of narcotics.

At 12:40 pm, police approached Isaac Rosa, 45, at the store, informing him of the warrants issued for him, his vehicle, his residence, and the convenience store itself. In the pursuit to immediately intercept the flow of drugs, officers uncovered a stash including cocaine, crack cocaine, fentanyl, Percocet, marijuana, and over a thousand dollars in cash.

According to the Boston Police Department's announcement, the search yielded approximately ten grams of crack cocaine, six grams of powder cocaine, twelve grams of fentanyl, several pounds of marijuana, as well as nine gabapentin pills and ten Percocet pills.

Rosa now faces numerous charges related to drug trafficking and possession with intent to distribute. The narcotics seized included "three bottles of Lactose, Gabapentin Pills, and a magnetic hide containing eleven plastic bags of white powder (cocaine), seventeen plastic bags of white rock (crack cocaine), seven plastic bags of tan powder (fentanyl), ten small blue pills believed to be Percocet, four large heat-sealed bags containing Marijuana," as listed by the police report. In addition to these substances, officers also found "assorted glass stem crack pipes" and "several digital scales" indicative of drug distribution.

The bust, which resulted from area resident complaints, highlights the vigilance of the West Roxbury community and its collaboration with law enforcement. Charged with multiple felonies, Rosa is slated to be arraigned in West Roxbury Court, as the neighborhood confronts the shadow of narcotics distribution within its bounds.
