Tragedy struck the Dallas community on the last Saturday of 2023 when a man and a woman were found dead from gunshot wounds. The Dallas Police were dispatched around 10:45 a.m. to conduct a welfare check at an apartment complex in the 10000 block of Steppington Drive, as reported by the Dallas Police Department.
The officers, arriving at the scene, discovered 29-year-old Brenda Cruz and 28-year-old Jesus Magana, shot inside the residence. Struggling to revive the victims, Dallas Fire-Rescue responded but pronounced both dead at the scene. It appears Cruz fell victim to Magana's gunfire before he turned the weapon on himself.
