Earlier morning, Dorchester resident Christopher Boyer was put in handcuffs during a raid that unearthed a trove of drugs, a loaded gun, and cash. According to a Boston Police report, the 22-year-old was nabbed by officers around 8 a.m. as he exited his home, leading to a cascade of felony charges.
Boyer's apprehension by members of the Area C-6 Drug Control Unit, as well as participating units from Roxbury and Jamaica Plain, was followed by the recovery of a Smith and Wesson .45 caliber handgun, with one round in the chamber, six in the magazine, and a stash of drugs cleverly hidden within a faux container of Armor All, containing 10 grams of crack cocaine, according to the authorities. The arrest effort did not stop there, the officers also confiscated $60 and keys to Boyer’s apartment — a prelude to a more substantial haul.
In the subsequent search of Boyer's residence, law enforcement unearthed a significant quantity of narcotics — 127 grams of cocaine, dozens of various prescription pills — and more paraphernalia associated with drug trafficking. Among the items seized were 72 Adderall pills, 9 Clonazepam pills, 15 Fentanyl pills, as well as scales and baggies indicative of a drug distribution operation. Moreover, officers discovered an additional $3,589 in cash and 22 rounds of live ammunition.
With the dust of the law’s sweep settled, Boyer now faces a litany of serious charges: trafficking Class B cocaine, possession with intent to distribute Class B cocaine, possession with intent to distribute Class C Clonazepam, and possession with intent to distribute Class A Fentanyl. Adding to his legal woes, are the charges of unlawful possession of a loaded firearm and, unlawful possession of ammunition. He is expected to make his first court appearance in the Dorchester District Court.
