An image shared by the Dublin Police depicts the aftermath clearly: a toppled pole lies sprawled across the crumpled vehicle, with its front end crushed under the weight of the fallen traffic light. The mishap resulted from a solo crash, as city spokesperson Shari Jackman confirmed. In a statement obtained by Patch, Jackman relayed that a signal pole with a mast arm was taken out by the vehicle.
While no one hopes for such disruptions, Public Works is already coordinating a swift response. The department aims to repair the traffic light by the time evening commuters take to the streets.
The intersection remains partially obstructed. The west side of the intersection is closed to eastbound traffic, although a pathway remains open for westbound travel on Amador Valley Boulevard, which allows turns onto San Ramon Road. Drivers should remain alert and patient as the necessary repairs are expedited to restore the full function of this key piece of local infrastructure.
