
An early morning accident left one person injured after their vehicle slammed into a building in central Austin, authorities reported.
The crash occurred just before 2:30 a.m. near the intersection of North Lamar Boulevard and West Guadalupe Street, when a vehicle plowed into the structure, trapping an adult inside, according to a social media post by Austin-Travis County EMS. The victim was announced as a trauma alert, and rescue teams from the Austin Fire Department worked to free the individual from the wreckage.

Once extricated, the patient was treated on the scene and then rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center with potentially serious injuries. Further details on their condition have not been disclosed.
Following the extraction and initial medical response, first responders, remained at the crash site managing cleanup efforts and initiating an investigation into the cause of the incident, as per a report by CBS Austin. The identity of the injured person has not been released, and there have been no updates on potential structural damage to the building struck by the car.
