
Early this morning, a fire engulfed a vacant church in North Hollywood, sending plumes of smoke into the darkened sky. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, firefighters rushed to the scene at 7005 N Radford Ave and battled the blaze that was swiftly put out. The fire department reported on its official website that "Firefighters found a one-story vacant church with smoke showing" and, rising to the occasion, "Thirty firefighters went to work to access, confine, and extinguish the flames in less than 20 minutes."
There were no injuries reported in the wake of the fire. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation. Units dispatched in the incident included Engines 102, 260, 278, 289, 60, 77, 89, Trucks 60, 78, 89, Rescue Ambulances 889, 89, and Battalions 10 and 14.
