Gilbert Almaraz, TSA's Federal Security Director for Central Texas, expressed frustration at the breaches, noting "It is disappointing that four separate individuals arrived at the checkpoint with a loaded gun, which introduced a potentially dangerous situation that they brought upon themselves and other travelers," the responsibility now shifts to Austin Police Department, who were summoned to manage the slip-up as travelers not only face criminal charges but are also slapped with financial civil penalties from TSA that could reach up to $15,000, as per Transportation Security Administration.
