Chaos erupted in a Houston neighborhood when a hit-and-run driver sparked a foot chase with local law enforcement. Constable deputies rushed to the scene at 8100 Wooded Terrace Lane early today after receiving reports of the incident. The driver, after abandoning the vehicle, attempted to vanish into the suburban sprawl but was no match for the deputies' determination.
Authorities confirmed the pursuit ended with the suspect in cuffs despite her efforts to slip through their grasp by providing a false identity. It was through diligent work that deputies were able to reveal her true identity as Yakerria Williams. In a statement given to the precinct, Constable Mark Herman disclosed on their Facebook page, "Yakerria Williams was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Fail to Stop and Give Information, Evading Arrest and Fail to Identify."
The escaped suspect was to be held accountable, yet no bond or court details were immediately available following her arrest.
