Chaos ensued on an Adelanto roadway in the early hours of the weekend when a car, operated by 26-year-old Edward Diaz, took a turn for the worse. On January 27th, at exactly 12:14 a.m., deputies raced to the scene of a harrowing accident at the intersection of Jonathan Street and Seneca Road after receiving a distressing 911 call.
A single vehicle, careened off the road hitting an elevated dirt shoulder, resulting in Diaz losing control and the car flipping multiple times. Details obtained from the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department report, indicate that Diaz, a resident of Huntington Park, was transported to the hospital with minor injuries. Tragically, a rear passenger wasn't as fortunate, being ejected from the car and sustaining major injuries requiring urgent medical attention. Another passenger also suffered minor injuries, but notably, refused treatment, according to Victor Valley Sheriff's Department.
The authorities are urging anyone with information to step forward, in hopes, that collective community action can prevent such tragedies in the future. The case, assigned the number 242400172 is still wide open, and updates are anticipated as more facts come to light.
