
The Los Angeles Police Department is turning to the public for help in the search for a critically missing elderly man, whose disappearance has sparked concern due to his poor mental condition. Arima Masami, 75, was last seen on Tuesday, January 9, around 3:30 p.m. near the 400 block of West Arlight Street in Monterey Park, according to a statement from the LAPD.
Masami, a male Asian with grey hair and black eyes, is described as standing 5 feet 3 inches tall, weighing about 120 pounds, and sporting a white mustache. His last known outfit included a maroon jacket, blue jeans, and grey/white shoes. The LAPD and the family of Masami, are urging anyone with information to step forward and assist in bringing their father home, according to the LAPD Newsroom.
The missing man was reported to possibly be driving a 2001 gold Toyota Sienna, with California license plates numbered 4UNJ113. The LAPD Devonshire Division Watch Commander can be contacted at (818) 832-0644 by those who may have seen Masami or have any relevant information.
