Lewisville's boys in blue have bagged a trio of suspected robbers after a stick-up at the local QuikTrip filled their tank with charges. The Lewisville Police Department announced the arrest of three youthful suspects fingered for the Dec. 26 armed robbery at the gas station on FM 407, according to the City of Lewisville, Texas.
Leonardo Rodriguez, barely an adult at 18, and minors Edwin Morales Neri and David Reyes-Estrada, both 17, are now staring down the barrel of major legal trouble. The trio face charges of Aggravated Robbery and Tampering/Fabricating Physical Evidence. A call about an armed heist at around 6:25 a.m. triggered the events, the report of suspects brandishing a gun eventually led cops to an apartment complex catch, on West Corporate Drive where they reeled in one suspect.
The other two weren't far behind. With the aid of advancing tech, police sniffed out one perp at a residence on Yale Drive, and another on Pinewood Place a hop and a skip away from pulling another caper. The arrest spree wrapped up without a fuss over a few days, concluding on Dec. 29. Staying off the radar was not in their playbook.
The investigation scored a twofer with a heads up from Richardson Police Department claiming the suspects, showed a report card of criminal consistency, with a similar robbery under their belts in their jurisdiction. "During LPD’s investigation, Richardson PD advised the suspects fit the description of three suspects that committed a similar crime in their city on Dec. 26, about an hour before the Lewisville robbery," as per the City of Lewisville, Texas.
