Last week, the Long Beach Police Department’s West Division displayed prompt action when officers responded to a call involving an attempted auto burglary with a potentially dangerous twist. The suspect, who has not been identified, reportedly brandished a firearm at the individual who reported the crime, escalating the situation to one that could quickly spiral out of control.
According to a post on the official Long Beach PD X account, "Last week, officers responded to an attempt auto burglary in progress with a suspect who brandished a firearm at the calling party. Officers located the suspects & safely took them into custody as well as recovered a firearm."
