Los Angeles is bracing for wet weather today with the National Weather Service predicting showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 4:00 p.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 4:00 p.m. and a high temperature hovering near a cool 61 degrees. These rains are accompanied by gusts that might reach up to 20 mph.
Tonight, Los Angeles residents can expect the stormy music to dial down to a 50 percent chance of continued showers and thunderstorms before 10:00 p.m. The city isn't out of the woods yet, with mostly cloudy skies and an expected drop to a low near 49 degrees, and while those gusts will turn into a slight northwesterly whisper around 5 mph, rain could still dampen any moonlit strolls.
Those yearning for a glimpse of the California sun can find solace in Tuesday's forecast, as the weather is set to clear up bringing "mostly sunny" skies and a slightly warmer embrace with highs creeping towards 66 degrees, according to the National Weather Service.
While Tuesday night's temperature is expected to dip to a familiar 48 degrees, the next days offer a gentle undulation of partly sunny to mostly sunny conditions, with high temperatures gradually rising from the low to the mid-70 degrees by the weekend.
