The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department is on the hunt for a suspect connected to multiple bank heists in the area, and they're turning to the public for a helping hand. Per a Facebook post on the department's official page, detectives from the Major Crimes Bureau's Metro Detail have sketched the profile of a man who's been hitting up various banks across Los Angeles County from October last year to just this past January.

Adding to the string of unfortunate events, the most recent robbery went down on January 22, 2024, at a Harbor City Bank of America. As described by officials, the suspect rocks up to the teller and demands cash while hinting he's packing a weapon under his sweatshirt. Despite simulating the weapon, there's been no confirmation it's for real.

According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, we're looking for an African American male, between 5’08” and 5’10”, tipping the scales at 240-260 lbs, and likely in the 40-45 age bracket. Eyewitnesses have seen him make his escape in a somewhat aged, silver Honda Accord, 4-door edition, with a side of tinted windows and pilfered plates from '06 or '07.

The cops are pressing for anyone who's caught a glimpse of the suspect or perhaps has got the inside scoop on his dealings to pick up the horn and call the Major Crimes Bureau, Metro Detail at (562) 946-7893. For those wishing to keep their name out of the limelight, there's always the option to ring up Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477, or send a tip through the cyber highway at www.p3tips.com.
