Lynn, Massachusetts residents faced an unexpected obstacle Tuesday morning as a massive water main break occurred in the area of Ocean Street and Route 1A, sending a sky-high geyser of water erupting into the air. The spectacle was caught on video and shared by NBC Boston, showing the magnitude of the burst that had crews scrambling to control the situation as of 8:30 a.m.
The effects of the break were compounded by the frigid temperatures, posing a hazard for morning commuters with icy conditions beginning to take hold on nearby streets.
