U.S. Marshals arrested a man wanted on Florida charges for allegedly distributing obscene materials harmful to minors, during a bust at a downtown Austin apartment complex. According to KXAN, authorities apprehended 43-year-old Jason Paul Harper after he initially refused to cooperate and open his apartment door.
The standoff led to the use of a distraction device which eventually compelled Harper to comply. A statement described by KXAN stated that the Marshals, "detonated a distraction device and broke into the apartment." After the deployment of the distraction device, Harper surrendered and was arrested without further incident.
