The unresolved case of Benjamin Anderson, who was found dead on New Year's Eve of 2021, is approaching a significant development. The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) announced plans to press charges against individuals of interest as they continue to sift through digital data and records. According to FOX 10 Phoenix, MCSO admitted that while they have identified potential suspects, the exact timeline for when the evidence will be ready, and charges formally submitted remains untold.

In a statement obtained by FOX 10 Phoenix, MCSO's Sergeant Calbert Gillett said, "We will be submitting charges against the alleged suspects, regardless of what is found with the digital record analysis." Anderson, who was 41 at the time of his death, was last seen alive on the morning of December 31, 2021. His burned-out vehicle was discovered the same day near I-17 and Dunlap, kicking off a mystery that has remained unsolved for over two years.

Daniel Stahoviak, a friend of the deceased, had previously expressed to ABC15 that Anderson's sudden cancellation of plans and subsequent disappearance was out of character. Stahoviak attempted to track Anderson's vehicle, eventually locating it at a hotel's parking garage near I-17 and Dunlap Avenue, with three unfamiliar individuals inside. The pursuit ended when the suspects drove the wrong way down an access road, and later on, Anderson's vehicle was found ablaze in a parking lot.

Despite widespread speculation, MCSO has said, there is no clear connection between Anderson's case and other criminal activities in the area. They have addressed the rumors head-on, explaining to FOX 10 Phoenix, "Our detective remains in contact with Mr. Anderson’s family," keeping them abreast of the ongoing investigation and, dismissing unconfirmed reports linking the case to other incidents.
