Los Angeles County has gotten a new voice in the quest for maximizing government efficiency as Supervisor Janice Hahn appoints Mark Waronek, Lomita Mayor Pro Tem and local business owner, to the Quality and Productivity Commission. Waronek, the President and CEO of M&M Consulting Group brings to the table a mix of experience from both the private and public spheres.

"We need to better ensure that our dozens of departments and offices remain as efficient and productive as possible," Hahn said, acknowledging the heavy reliance of millions of residents on LA County services. In her statement obtained by Los Angeles County's official communications, she expressed confidence in Waronek's abilities, declaring, "Mark knows what it takes to do the work and do it well."

Before launching his consulting firm in 2019, Waronek worked with several public affairs consulting firms and held government roles, such as Hahn’s senior deputy for the South Bay communities from 2016 to 2018. His experience also extends to a stint as Economic Development Deputy for former Los Angeles councilmember Rudy Svorinich, Jr., illustrating an extensive track record in local governance.

"I look forward to continue representing Supervisor Janice Hahn’s 4th District working hard for all the communities of Los Angeles County, and making a difference in making our County departments better for our constituents!!" Waronek told Los Angeles County's news bulletin with a sense of determination. His engagement with the community isn't limited to the civic realm – Waronek is also known as the public address announcer for his alma mater, Bishop Montgomery High School, a role he has owned for 35 years.
