
The search is on for an individual connected to an assault and battery case involving a knife that took place at the MBTA Wellington Station. Authorities have released an image of the person of interest in hopes that the public can assist. The MBTA Transit Police Department is requesting anyone with information about the December 29th incident, which occurred around 5:30 AM, to come forward.
"Recognize this person of interest?" the MBTA Transit Police posted, as they circulated a grainy snapshot from surveillance footage showing a figure whose identity they are working to confirm. Officials have assured the public that their tips can be given anonymously and have provided the Criminal Investigation Unit's phone number: 617-222-1050, saying, "PLS contact our Criminal Investigation Unit at 617-222-1050 w/any info you have. You can remain anonymous. TY."

There's been no word yet on the victim's condition nor the exact circumstances leading up to the altercation.
As such, anyone with knowledge about this disturbing event whether they witnessed the incident or recognized the individual from the circulating image, you're urged to heed the Transit Police's call and offer any information that might aid their investigation.
