A somber start to 2024 in North Austin: An individual lost their life in a tragic auto-pedestrian incident on New Year’s Day. The accident occurred near 6500 N. Interstate 35 southbound, close to Huntland Drive, according to KXAN.

It was revealed that the accident took place just before 1 a.m. on the service road of southbound I-35. The identity of the deceased has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin, reported by CBS Austin.
