The Plano Police Department is on the hunt for digital evidence to help crack a rash of property crimes that stained the holiday season with a touch of criminality. With multiple incidents including burglary, package theft, and burglary of motor vehicles (BMV), police say the offenses occurred in late December 2023, within a similar locale in Plano.
Detectives have received some digital media already, but are urging locals to come forward with any additional footage that might help to slowly close in on the suspect. "Any evidence, no matter how small, could potentially lead to identifying and apprehending the suspect," the department announced in a bid to encourage community assistance in the investigation. Officials are stressing the importance of resident involvement to piece together the series of ill-intended acts that have left a shadow over the city's yuletide cheer, according to the Plano Texas Police Department.
Residents with any relevant information or digital media are asked not to hesitate, to immediately contact the Plano Police. The department's plea underscores a collective duty: the safety of Plano's streets and the protection of its people’s property. Contact information has been provided in a recent social media post, including a phone number (972) 424-5678 for the Plano Police Department.
