Hospital staffers are playing detective after a mystery man was discovered unconscious on a Los Angeles freeway, now lying unidentified in L.A. General Medical Center. The public hospital, managed by the county department of health services, has issued a plea for help in finding family or friends of a John Doe, who has been under their care since January 7th.
He's about 35 years old, stands 6 foot tall, weighs in at 172 pounds, with black hair, and brown eyes. His build is described as medium to heavy, the description paints a picture of an everyman. Complicating the case is a set of "distinctive tattoos" across his chest and abdomen, according to hospital officials. No one yet has come forward to claim the man, despite his noticeable ink.
The anonymous man was initially found unresponsive near the Alameda exit on the 101 freeway, a spot smack in the center of the city's ceaseless hustle.
Los Angeles General Medical Center's Clinical Social Worker, Cesar Robles, is leading the charge to uncover the man's identity. Robles is reachable at 323-409-6884, the hospital's line for any tips.
