Fried chicken fans in Boston, brace yourselves. Raising Cane's Chicken Fingers is set to dish out its famous chicken tenders and crinkle-cut fries in Downtown Crossing. The Louisiana-based fast-food joint that has amassed a cult following is gearing up to take over the old Pret a Manger spot on Arch Street, as confirmed by a recent snapshot circling the scene.
Joining its other Massachusetts locales - notably in the Back Bay, by Boston University, Marlborough, and Methuen - the chain, known for its limited menu and fresh approach, is also eyeing a spot in Medford, according to Boston Restaurant Talk. Hungry patrons can soon head over to 101 Arch Street, Boston, MA, 02110, to sink their teeth into Cane's offerings.
Beyond the buzz of new openings, Raising Cane's carries with it a backstory steeped in personal significance. The chain's name, a nod to founder Todd Graves' jovial yellow Lab, Raising Cane, intertwines fun with a hint of local flavor - evoking Louisiana's sugar canes, as detailed on the company's website. The connection to community and quality service has been a pillar of the brand since its inception.
It all started back on August 28, 1996 when Graves launched the first Raising Cane's near the North Gates of LSU in Baton Rouge. Now affectionately termed 'The Mothership', this original outpost was built on Graves' own dime, with a sprinkle of support from friends picked up along his journey. Today, every Raising Cane's reflects that same community engagement, lively crew, and culture Graves pledged to from the start.
