The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is reaching out to the public in search of Donald McClarence, a 41-year-old man missing since Thanksgiving week. McClarence, a Black man approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing 140 pounds, was last known to be at 1400 General Arts Road in Conyers. Distinguishing features include his bald head, brown eyes, and a scar from the middle of his neck to his back, along with tattoos - "MOM", a large cross, "BRO R.I.P." on his left arm, and a tribal design on his back, as Atlanta News First reported.
McClarence, who is still unaccounted for had mentioned plans to visit his sister in New York during his last known conversation with her, his sister's name and specifics of their conversation haven't been disclosed by officials yet but the concern for his safety is mounting as days pass since his last sighting. Meanwhile, turmoil struck the Summergrove area as an altercation over a stolen handgun escalated into a shootout, according to The Times-Herald. The January 21 incident involved several men and resulted in bullets striking four houses, two cars, and a mailbox, thankfully no injuries were reported. The Newnan Police Department apprehended three men and charged them with aggravated assault following the incident, marking a prompt response to the public disquiet caused by the gunfire.
