The hunt for a suspect in a Roswell bank robbery has intensified as local police and law enforcement agencies scour the area. The Roswell Police Department issued a warning that 27-year-old James Raborn, identified as the alleged perpetrator, should be considered "armed and dangerous" according to FOX 5 Atlanta. Raborn is described as having blonde, shaggy hair and was last spotted in a gray hooded sweatshirt paired with blue jeans.
After a vehicular pursuit concluded in a crash. The search was concentrated around Old Mountain Park Road and the City of Mountain Park on Tuesday morning, with Raborn's vehicle found abandoned in the vicinity. As a result of the ongoing threat, Mountain Park Elementary School enacted a soft lockdown as a precaution, reported by Fulton County Schools per FOX 5 Atlanta.
Roswell police's efforts to apprehend Raborn have been relentless following his alleged involvement in the armed robbery at Truist Bank on Holcomb Bridge Road on Monday. The authorities have emphasized the gravity of the crime and the necessity of extraordinary precautions. "Given the nature of a bank robbery, we are going to treat him as armed and dangerous until proven otherwise," Officer Tim Lupo with Roswell Police told Atlanta News First.
Local residents remain on edge in light of the recent events. "I saw the red vehicle being chased by several vehicles, and then I heard this crash, and I heard the policemen asking him to stop," Raul Blanco, a witness of the chase, told Atlanta News First. "The feeling inside, because he hasn’t been caught, it’s kind of concerning." The Roswell Police Department urges anyone with information or who observes the suspect to contact 911 immediately and not to approach the individual.
