San Antonio residents are looking toward a cloudy day with a side of drizzle this afternoon, as the National Weather Service reports patchy fog before 9am and a high creeping up to 55 degrees. The East southeast wind will keep things brisk between 6 and 11 mph. As the day wears on, a 70% chance of showers is likely to turn the drizzle into something more persistent, mainly occurring between 9pm and 3am. The fog won't relent easily, likely to remain patchy before midnight and resume after 1am, albeit with a mostly cloudy sky. Temperatures are expected to dip around 48 degrees during the night. With the East wind shifting north and slowing to 5 to 9 mph, it's set to become more chilled as the evening progresses.
But don't stash away the sunglasses yet. Friday is forecasted to clear soon after the fog lifts, according to a report by The National Weather Service. The day should warm up to a comfortable 67 degrees with a gentle north northwest wind. Friday night promises clear skies and a low around 41, with a northwest breeze giving just the slightest nudge at 3 to 6 mph. Then Saturday stays sunny with highs similar to Friday, and light winds are to pick up the pace, occasionally gusting as high as 18 mph. Nighttime should remain mostly clear with lows around 40.
As reported by KSAT, the weekend extends sunny skies with Sunday holding mostly sunny with another high near 66 degrees, while nightfall may bring showers as clouds gather and temperatures hover around 55. The up and down dance of the weather continues into Monday, where chances of rain coupled with brisk winds accompany a high near 73, though by nightfall, the sky is again mostly clear with the air cooling to 41 degrees.
The following days are forecasted to be sunny and breezy with temperatures peaking around 60 on Tuesday and descending to a low around 36 at night. Wednesday also looks promising for those seeking more sunshine, as the high is expected to be near 65 degrees. With the mood of the elements fluctuating between blankets of clouds, breezes and showers, and bouts of clear skies, San Antonio's inhabitants will have ample opportunity to experience the temperamental Texas winter at its finest.
