Chaos erupted on the North Side when gusting winds sent a tree crashing down onto a power line, sparking an attic blaze late Monday evening. According to FOX San Antonio, the incident took place just before 11:30 p.m. at a residence off Greenbrier near New Braunfels Avenue.

High winds are to blame for toppling part of the tree that, hauled down a power line and ignited the fire in the attic of the home. Everyone made it out safely, the San Antonio Fire Department relayed.

The fire's aftermath left the home scarred but not destroyed. KENS 5 reported that the estimated cost to repair the ravages inflicted by the fire is between $3,000 and $4,000.

"Firefighters will remain on the scene until CPS Energy is able to repair the power lines," officials stated.
