A Campbell man has been cuffed and charged with a road rage incident that saw a firearm pointed at multiple people, according to San Jose police. The hot-tempered showdown happened last month, but cops nabbed the suspect, identified as 33-year-old Michael Curcuruto, earlier this week.

During a hair-raising encounter at the intersection of N 13th Street and Jackson Street, victims were reportedly menaced by Curcuruto with a gun as they drove down the road on December 11, 2023. The San José Police Department's Assaults Unit jumped into action with an extensive investigation and managed to peg Curcuruto as the alleged aggressor.

Detectives with SJPD scored a warrant for the suspect's arrest and managed to snoop out a search warrant for his digs. The police Covert Response Unit swooped in and slapped cuffs on Curcuruto in Campbell on January 16. A search of his residence turned up a privately manufactured firearm, and he was subsequently thrown into Santa Clara County Main Jail on charges related to the firearm.

The San José Police Department stated, "Anyone with information about these cases or similar cases is asked to contact Detective Madera #4857 of the San José Police Assaults Unit." Curcuruto now faces a list of charges, including road rage, brandishing a firearm, and criminal threats, as he awaits his day in court.
