A suspected drunk driver was cuffed after slamming into a parked vehicle in Harris County, according to local authorities. Constable Mark Herman's deputies responded to the 5700 block of Woodmancote Drive on January 7, where they encountered Rachel Lucero behind the wheel, the car kissing a neighbor's bumper.
The collision had allegedly occurred after Lucero displayed multiple signs of intoxication. Found with the engine still purring and the scene freshly scarred by the recent impact, standardized field sobriety tests were quickly employed by the deputies on Lucero, determining she was indeed intoxicated.
In a Facebook post by the Precinct 4 Constable's Office, Constable Mark Herman recounted the incident: "Rachel Lucero was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Driving While Intoxicated. Her bond was set at $100.00 out of County Court 10."
Lucero, now facing the music for her alleged tipsy tour, remains in the county's clutches pending further court proceedings.
