A young man was fatally shot after two suspects violently entered his South Dallas apartment just days before the new year, police have said. The Dallas Police Department, responding to a 911 call about the shooting on December 30, arrived in the 440 block of S. St. Augustine Drive at around 2:40 p.m., where they found 24-year-old Juvenal Antero with gunshot wounds, according to the Dallas Police Department.
The preliminary investigation revealed that the two culprits had busted their way into Antero's residence and subsequently opened fire. After committing the act, the suspects swiftly vacated the scene, leaving little for authorities to work with. The victim was transported to a local hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue where he later succumbed to his injuries.
An effort to apprehend the suspects is underway as the investigation continues. The case, filed under number 232551-2023, remains open, with Detectives tirelessly seeking leads.
