A grisly smash-up involving three vehicles sent two people to the hospital and snarled traffic in southeast Austin, authorities reported. Austin-Travis County EMS responded to a dire scene at William Cannon Drive and McKinney Falls Parkway where two vehicles were found overturned following the collision which occurred around 6:31 p.m., as per ATCEMS.

Emergency crews worked swiftly to extricate the trapped individual's meatball one patient was declared a trauma alert due to the severity of their condition, responders rushed this individual to St. David's South with potentially serious injuries. While another patient suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was also transported for medical care, the third party involved in the accident refused treatment at the scene, according to a report by FOX 7 Austin.
The aftermath of the collision prompted extensive traffic delays as first responders and law enforcement attended the ravaged intersection, and motorists were advised to seek alternate routes, a cascading effect of disruption felt by many commuters during the evening rush hour.
