A violent altercation in Long Beach left two people, an adult woman and a female teen, with stab wounds after a dispute turned bloody last night. According to a statement released by the Long Beach Police Department, the incident occurred around 7:29 p.m. on the 2000 block of W. Spring Street.
The preliminary investigation disclosed by the authorities indicated that the victims encountered the assailant, known to them before a heated exchange escalated quickly into a stabbing. Fleeing the scene in a vehicle before law enforcement's arrival, the suspect remains at large. The victims, who were attended by Long Beach Fire Department personnel, sustained injuries to the upper body thankfully determined as non-life-threatening.
Anyone with information is encouraged to come forward as the assailant remains, elusive as of this report's filing.
