In a disturbing series of events, two Texas men are currently facing serious criminal charges after investigations led to the discovery of child pornography on their respective phones. In San Antonio, Alexander Aaron Edwards, 26, was arrested after police found over 100 images of child pornography hidden on his iPhone, as Fox San Antonio reported. The victims in the materials ranged in age from toddlers to teenagers, authorities confirmed.

Edwards, who resided on the Northside, became entangled with the law when detectives received a tip about the upload of nine files of what appeared to be child pornography to a free instant messaging mobile application, following which the police could trace the upload back to Edwards' email and phone number, when they visited his residence Edwards admitted the email was his, yet denied uploading the illicit material.

In a separate but equally heinous case, Antonio Munoz of Wichita Falls was apprehended after images of adults sexually abusing toddlers surfaced on his cell phone, according to Yahoo News. Department of Public Safety Criminal Investigations special Agent Jacob Weaver was granted a warrant to examine Munoz's cellphone, discovering harrowing content involving pubescent and prepubescent children.

Munoz had a prior criminal record when, upon his arrest in November on charges of soliciting sex from a minor during an undercover operation where a DPS agent posing as a 14-year-old girl Munoz intended to meet—after bailing out on Nov. 9 on a $30,000 bond for that case, he was caught again, this time with a significantly higher bond set at $150,000. Munoz admitted to acquiring and transmitting the material through the internet.
