Responding to a theft call on January 8, deputies from Constable Mark Herman’s Office nabbed two suspects, Daniel Chillis and Eugene Johnson, in the 23000 block of Aldine Westfield Road. The detention quickly turned into an arrest after authorities discovered the duo were not just petty thieves but wanted men.
Confirming their identities, deputies found that Daniel was on the lam for a prior theft charge and Eugene was wanted on a more serious note – a felony charge for possession of a controlled substance. Their streak of evading the law came to an abrupt halt as they were taken into custody.
Harris County's Precinct 4 Facebook page detailed the crimes and subsequent arrests, noting that further details regarding bond amounts and court proceedings are pending. "They were arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail for the open warrants. Their bonds and court information have not been set at this time," Constable Mark Herman stated.
