As the calendar flips to a new year, the haunting disappearance of 28-year-old Margaret Kay-Alana Turner, who vanished nearly a year ago while reportedly en route to Austin, was reported by FOX 7 Austin.
Last seen in Harris County, Turner's disappearance on March 10, 2023, has been shrouded in concern and confusion as her family reports she was in the middle of a mental health crisis, possibly exacerbated by a reaction to her PTSD medication and, while the Harris County Sheriff's Office affirms their continued search for Turner, her parents are left clinging to a hope weighed down by the heavy cloak of despair, "You go back and forth between hope and despair, Your moment by moment, We choose to cling to hope, but there are moments of despair," Robby Calhoun, Turner's father said, as per FOX 7 Austin.
In the absence of her presence, friends and family mourn the gaping absence that has hollowed out a place in their lives only she can refill, with her mother Rosa’s poignant assertion, "We have a Kay-Alana sized hole in our hearts, There is nothing that will fill that hole, The only thing that will fill that hole is Kay-Alana, We will search for her until we find her, or we will search for her until we die," according to FOX 7 Austin.
