A severe collision involving a vehicle and a scooter sent one person to the hospital with serious injuries in north Austin, officials said. The incident, which took place Thursday evening in the 1200 block of Rutland Drive near the cross street of Stonebridge Drive, triggered a trauma alert for the adult victim, who was rushed to Dell Seton Medical Center, according to Austin-Travis County EMS.

The victim was transported with "serious potentially life-threatening injuries," as per Austin-Travis County EMS.
