A Vista man has landed behind bars after a stash of narcotics, weapons, and a wad of cash were discovered at his home. Sheriff's deputies, working with the Community Policing and Problem-Solving (COPPS) Unit, made the bust during a probation check early Tuesday morning.
Dylan Monroe, 32, was taken into custody after deputies swiftly moved to execute a search in the 400 block of Dennis Drive. In their sweep, officers found a buffet of illegal substances including four ounces of fentanyl, two ounces of methamphetamine, 100 fentanyl pills known as M30s, and half an ounce of psilocybin mushrooms. The illegal haul was complemented by a switchblade knife, a stun gun, pepper spray, and a hefty sum of U.S. currency.
Details provided by the San Diego County Sheriff's Department indicate that the search was conducted around 7:30 a.m., coinciding with a probe into Monroe's compliance with probation terms. The suspect, with a birth date listed as September 14, 1991, is now facing several charges that include possession of narcotics for sale and felon in possession of tear gas/stun gun.
