The Wright County Sheriff's Office has reported a significant flurry of arrests and incidents leading up to the New Year, according to a recent public activity report. Among the offenses recorded in the week ending January 1, 2024, were numerous instances of domestic assault, drug possession, theft, and a notably high number of individuals taken into custody for DWI-related charges.
The report, published on the Wright County website, highlighted several cases of interest across multiple jurisdictions. On December 25th, Philip Todd Kellen, 55, of Buffalo, faced domestic assault charges in Rockford, while Ahmed Addan Ibrahim, 33, of Minneapolis was nabbed in Scott County on a county warrant for 5th degree drug possession. The same day, Charles Douglas Bauer, 74, of Anoka, found himself in handcuffs for a 4th-degree DWI in Buffalo.
Notable arrests continued through the week, which included Armell Amond Pate, 28, of St Michael, who was taken in on charges of domestic assault by strangulation on December 27th. The same day witnessed several DWI charges, including Rachel Marie Dibble, 39, of Plymouth, and Jennifer Lee Bradley, 26, of Delano, both facing their brushes with the law over assault and impaired driving, respectively.
December 28th and 29th were particularly busy for law enforcement as Eric Nathaniel Coleman, 38, of Annandale, was hit with a DWI on the 28th. Brian Christopher Elke, 41, of Maple Lake, and Amy Jean Brown, 36, of Shoreview, were arrested on December 29th for 3rd degree DWIs. Escalating the gravity of offenses, Jacob William Siedschlaw, 20, of Otsego, was arrested on December 29th on a charge of 2nd-degree assault, reflecting a darker turn amidst the tide of DWIs and lesser criminal activity.
The report further detailed traffic-related statistics, with 34 property damage accidents, 7 personal injuries, one hit-and-run, and 8 car-deer accidents. Not less consequential were the 11 DWI arrests, pointing to a persistent problem in the community that law enforcement continues to combat as the new year rings in.
All information regarding the incidents and arrests comes from the official Wright County Sheriff's Office Activity Report. For many in Wright County, the holiday season was marked not just by celebration, but also by the reminder of the law's reach and the consequences that come with its breach.
