A violent flurry of criminal activities spanning multiple jurisdictions has led to the arrests of three adults and two teenagers, according to Marietta Police. The suspects allegedly engaged in a spree of felonies that began in Dekalb County, wreaking havoc through Cobb County, as first reported by FOX 5 Atlanta.

Marietta Police Officer Chuck McPhilamy detailed how "We had 5 individuals that came to our city bent on committing crime," as FOX 5 Atlanta reported. The accused kicked off their spree by smashing car windows at an auto repair shop on Roswell Road before graduating to more violent acts, including an attempted robbery and a shooting at a Motel 6 on Delk Road. In this brazen attack, the vehicle of a man trying to escape was hit 14 times, with one bullet striking him in the head — a wound he astonishingly survived.

The group's alleged rampage also included the carjacking of an Uber driver near Kennesaw State University, prompting a campus-wide lockdown. Patch reports that Giovanni Brown and Alijah Carter, both 19, along with 17-year-old Khalil Lloyd, have been taken into custody and are each facing a slew of 12 separate felony charges. The charges, as listed by Marietta Police, include two counts each of felony attempted armed robbery and aggravated assault with a weapon, in addition to eight counts of felony criminal damage to property.

"If not for the seamless cooperation between agencies, these individuals may still be committing acts of violence across metro Atlanta," Marietta Police praised the collaborative effort in a statement according to Patch. While four individuals are in custody, one juvenile remains at large. Further investigations by local and federal law enforcement may add gang-related charges to the list of existing 20 felony charges for each suspect. The identification and apprehension of these suspects marked a combined effort from the FBI, Marietta Police, Cobb County Police, and Dekalb County Police.
