Caught in the act, a woman was arrested after a routine traffic stop turned into a car theft bust on the roads of Atascocita. Shanae Jordan-Stevens, identified by the authorities, was pulled over by a deputy from Constable Mark Herman's office on February 18, in the 3800 block of Atascocita Road, only to discover the car she was driving was hot property, reported stolen by the Houston Police Department.
A subsequent investigation by a deputy, leading to the revelation that the vehicle Jordan-Stevens operated was indeed not hers to take, the deputy's keen eye ensured that one more stolen vehicle was recovered on the streets. Upon the confirmation that the car was listed as stolen, Jordan-Stevens faced immediate arrest, with the specter of justice looming close.
"Shanae Jordan-Stevens was arrested and booked into the Harris County Jail, charged with Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle. Her bond was set at $5,000.00 out of the 209th District Court." reported Constable Mark Herman in a Facebook post detailing the turn of events.
