Delta Air Lines soared to the 5th position while Children's Healthcare of Atlanta secured the 25th spot, according to the survey featured in Fox 5 Atlanta. Employees evidently appreciate the flight they're on with Delta, nodding to the company’s dedication to its workforce.
Forbes rankings rely on employee feedback, asking them to rate their employers and recommend them to others. Southern Company ranked 76th due to competitive pay, benefits, and a dynamic work environment. Emory University placed 153rd for inclusivity and diversity, while Synovus Financial Corp. secured the 245th spot for its community-focused approach. Chick-fil-A, though at 402, ranked second for customer experience on another Forbes list. Beyond numbers, these rankings highlight workplace cultures valuing employee wellbeing as much as profits.
Forbes highlights healthcare, noting half of the top ten employers are hospital systems, showing the sector's focus on employees. Betsy Rodriguez, from Children's Hospital Colorado, explained their unique work culture, including flash mobs and special benefits, leading to their number 4 rank. The hospital offers perks like fertility coverage, parental leave, and on-site counseling for staff dealing with the emotional aspects of pediatric care. Support during tough times and the presence of therapy dogs define the spirit of Children's Hospital Colorado for both patients and staff.
Healthcare isn't the only standout. Novo Nordisk leads for large employers, followed by Garmin known for innovation. In-N-Out Burger ranks 6th, offering above-average wages and a family-like atmosphere. Owner Lynsi Snyder emphasizes the importance of employees feeling valued, with perks like paid vacations and free meals creating a familial environment.
