
A high-speed car chase Wednesday night ended with a Barstow man behind bars after deputies cornered him in Victorville, California. The man identified as Michael Grayson, 41, led the police on a wild ride that topped 130 mph in a stolen vehicle, authorities said, as per the SBSD - Victorville Police Department.
Deputies from the Victorville Station spotted the black 2016 BMW 428, reported stolen from Barstow, at around 9:06 p.m. on Mojave Drive and Village Drive. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff-Coroner Department, when they tried to pull Grayson over, he sped off, leading them on a pursuit that saw him blowing through red lights and stop signs, and recklessly weaving through traffic.
The chase continued until Grayson's stolen BMW became disabled at the intersection of Victorville Quarry Road and Quarry Road. Deputies managed to arrest him without further incident. Grayson now faces multiple charges, including possession of a stolen vehicle, evading police, probation violation, and possession of a controlled substance, according to the SBSD - Victorville Police Department.
Grayson was booked at High Desert Detention Center following the incident, The Sheriff's Department indicated that anyone, with information relating to this investigation should get in touch with the Victorville Police Station or the Sheriff's Dispatch.
