
Brighton residents are on high alert as the Boston Police Department reports a disturbing uptick in break-ins and attempts in the area. In response to the situation, law enforcement officials have issued an advisory highlighting their concern and the steps they are taking to address this matter, including urging the community to bolster their home security.
According to the Boston Police Department news release, locals are advised to double-down on their vigilance, locking doors and windows, and consider adding motion-sensor lights, alarm systems or cameras for added protection, officials said the break-ins have shaken the neighborhood. Community members are now facing the disruption of their peace of mind, authorities are also asking individuals to report any suspicious activities to 911 immediately, crucial for enabling a swift police response.
The police have released an image of a person of interest believed to be connected to at least two of the incidents, although it's unclear if they're linked to the series as a whole. Residents are encouraged to assist in the investigation by contacting District D-14 Detectives at (617) 343-4256 or anonymously through the CrimeStoppers Tip Line at 1 (800) 494-TIPS, or by texting ‘TIP’ to CRIME (27463). An assurance was given that the identities of those who provide information anonymously will remain protected.
