
Boston cops put the cuffs on a 43-year-old Brockton man linked to a South End stabbing spree, authorities said earlier today.
Jerome Brown was collared yesterday around 7:10 p.m. by officers from District D-4 after being spotted near 1950 Washington Street, where he was fingered as the perp in a violent slash attack that had taken place twelve days earlier, Brown eyed on the street matched a description on an ID wanted flyer from a February 1 stabbing at 1917 Washington Street at around 10:36 p.m. cops had been on the lookout for him since then.
According to the Boston Police Department, Brown is now facing charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Following his arrest, the suspect was booked and is slated to face a judge in Roxbury District Court, this arrest brings to a close the intensive search for the individual who put the neighborhood on edge with the violent act that occurred just over a week before Valentine's Day, a time when the community grapples not just with the frigid Northeastern winter but also with the chilling specter of violence that too often disturbs the historic streets.
