Two individuals face serious charges after Covington police tied them to a stolen vehicle and a sizable drug haul. In a recent operation, authorities from the Covington Police Department nabbed Cortez Dudley and Teneisha Ammons, according to information obtained by FOX5 Atlanta.
Officers had responded to reports of a stolen vehicle located in the 9200 block of Golf View Circle. They found Dudley, who had reportedly just exited a white Dodge truck later confirmed to have been stolen, and arrested him for theft by receiving. The initial encounter rapidly led to a deeper investigation when cops began to smell what resembled "a strong odor of raw marijuana" emanating from both the vehicle and adjacent property.
Acting on this discovery, law enforcement secured the legal grounds to search the residence. The subsequent raid unearthed not only marijuana but also cocaine, various drug paraphernalia, and multiple firearms, as reported by The Covington News.
