Tonight, the mercury takes a plunge, with forecasts predicting a low around 35 and north winds continuing at 15 to 20 mph, those gusts persisting up to 25 mph. Saturday will bring some respite to the chill, featuring mostly sunny conditions though, the high will hover near 47 degrees.
As for the evening, there's more clarity in store with Saturday night skies expected to be mostly clear, the temperature dropping to a low around 31. Winds will calm down, shifting from north at 5 to 10 mph to light and variable after midnight, reveals a forecast obtained from the National Weather Service.
Sunday promises sunnier skies, and with it, a smooth climb to a high near 55 degrees, while Sunday night's conditions remain mostly clear as temperatures settle around 40. South winds of 5 to 15 mph may give way to gusts as high as 20 mph, ushering in warmer weather for Washington's Birthday, with a sunny high near 68 degrees and gusts possibly reaching 25 mph.
The following days will continue the upward trend in temperature, hitting highs of 76 and 78 on Tuesday and Thursday respectively. Nights throughout the week will remain relatively warmer post-Monday, with lows ranging consistently from the mid-40s to upper 50s. Wednesday's forecast, embodying this warm streak, shows a high near 79 under mostly sunny skies. Residents can consider stowing away heavy jackets at least during the day, as balmy Texas weather blesses the region for now.
