Delta Air Lines is warming up its winter schedule with added flights to coveted beach destinations in Latin America and the Caribbean. Starting from the hustle and clamor of Atlanta, travelers can soon jet set to the sandy shores of Barbados and Puerto Plata. Daily journeys to Barbados are set to take off on Nov. 23, while New York's JFK airport will launch its own Saturday excursions, Delta confirmed.
In a statement obtained by FOX 5 Atlanta, Delta's bigwig for network planning, Joe Esposito, noted, "Delta is establishing vital connections from Atlanta and across the U.S. that allow our customers to reach their dream vacation destinations with ease." Indeed, the airline is flexing its wings with up to a boastful 1,000 weekly flights to various locales in the warmer regions.
The expansion doesn't stop there; Delta will also bolster the number of flights from Atlanta to Curaçao responding to a high thirst for those turquoise waters and vibrant Dutch architecture. Holidayers will be perched comfortably aboard Delta's refreshed Boeing 737-800s, ensuring their vacation vibes begin at takeoff.
According to a news release from Delta, the airline isn't just spreading their reach from Atlanta. They're charting paths to 50 cities in the Latin American and Caribbean panorama from their hubs in ATL, JFK, and MSP. The expansion means folks from nearly 200 cities worldwide can now find connecting flights to these sunkissed destinations, designing a web of travel opportunities that cater to the escapist in all of us.
