A Texas doctor has been hauled in by the long arm of the law, accused of indecently assaulting his patients. Dr. Ikenna Adugba, a Medicaid provider and physician, was arrested on Tuesday after a comprehensive joint investigation between Denton Police and the Texas Attorney General's Office, according to the City of Denton, Texas.
The allegations surfaced in May last year when a female patient claimed the doctor had gotten handsy during an appointment at Denton's First Care Medical Center. Denton PD detectives, recognizing the gravity of the claims and Adugba's role as a provider for the vulnerable, promptly teamed up with the Texas Office of the Attorney General Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
In a disturbing revelation, officials unearthed three more female patients with similar stories, accusing Adugba of inappropriate conduct during appointments spanning back to 2022. Detectives were quick to slap the 64-year-old with four warrants for Indecent Assault, nabbing him at his workplace on Brinker Road sans a struggle.
The suspect, who resides in Coppell, was booked into the City of Denton Jail with his bail set at a cool $80,000. According to officials, he's already made his exit after posting bond.
